Household Chefs, Butlers, & Maids

A household chef prepares detailed menus and food for most or all family members and social events. The household chef is responsible for anything food or kitchen-related, including organization, clean up, shopping for all food-related supplies and menu planning. There are many levels of chefs from the basic family cook to the trained gourmet chef. Our chefs are personally selected by considering your unique lifestyle and cuisine preferences.

A butler is customarily responsible for a single residence, supervising household staff, setting up the household and ensuring all duties are fulfilled. Typical duties include ordering household supplies, setting and serving a formal table, caring for the silver, china, and crystal and overseeing dinner parties and other events held in the home. A butler should also have a good knowledge of wines.

A housekeeper is someone who becomes integrated with your home and family. Our housekeepers typically may come to your home 3-6 days a week, and usually work anywhere between 30-50 hours per week, but may also live in your home or estate. They are not there for the short-term, and typically will do their work on a daily basis - keeping things clean and in-order all the time. For instance they will wipe down the sink-tops, dust the furniture, make the beds every day and take care of the details that make a house a home.

Example duties for a housekeeper are:

  • Dusting, sweeping, and mopping
  • Washing, folding and ironing clothes
  • Washing, drying and putting away dishes
  • Making beds and changing the linens
  • Restocking personal care products, toilet paper, etc.
  • Picking up toys and clutter
  • limited childcare
  • General organizing
  • Running errands
  • Grocery shopping
  • Preparing healthy meals
  • Scooping litter boxes
  • Walking and taking care of pets
  • Separating and remove garbage and recycling
