A retired couple residing in a gated community in Southwest Escondido, close to Lake Hodges, is seeking a dedicated and reliable housekeeper to join their household. The couple lives in a serene and peaceful single-level home that spans approximately 3,000 square feet, featuring four bedrooms and three bathrooms. The household includes two small terriers and a cat, creating a lively yet tranquil environment.

The ideal candidate for this role is polite, genuine, reliable, and friendly, with excellent communication skills and a willingness to ask questions when needed. Experience in housekeeping is preferred, but the couple is open to training the right candidate who demonstrates a genuine interest and pride in their work.

Key responsibilities include laundering bed linens and towels, making beds, restocking personal care products, washing dishes, tidying up the house, changing water in flower vases, light housecleaning, and managing garbage and recycling. Additionally, some meal preparation and running errands as needed are part of the duties. A valid driver’s license and personal vehicle are required for errands, with mileage reimbursement provided.

The position offers a competitive hourly wage of $30-40, with a schedule of 4 hours per day, two days a week, preferably on Mondays and Fridays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The role includes 4 paid sick/personal days and 4 paid vacation days. A love for dogs is essential to fit in well with the household.

The desired start date for this position is July 1, 2024.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must be at least 21 years old.
Related work experience is required along with verifiable references. Candidates may have a broad range of experience, but it MUST pertain to the position you are applying for. We require at least 2-3 verifiable references. Letters of recommendation from previous employers are preferred.
A driver’s license is required for most positions and a motor vehicle investigation is completed prior to placement.
A criminal background investigation is completed on all candidates prior to placement.
All candidates must furnish proof of US citizenship or eligibility to work as a legal alien.
Typically, candidates must be willing to commit for at least 1 year with a family. Occasionally, temporary and summer placements are requested.
