Private active couple in their 60’s seeks a long-term, self-motivated, energetic Housekeeper/Cook. The ideal candidate will be organized and detailed oriented and have the ability to multi-task in order to keep up two small residences.  Primary home is located in Bal Harbour, Florida and secondary home is located in Aspen, Colorado.  Besides comprehensive housekeeping and laundry duties, the candidate will prepare occasional meals. Knowledge of Kosher dietary needs is a plus.

The couple resides in Bal Harbour, Florida October thru May and Aspen Jun thru September.  The ideal candidate should have their own residence in south FL and will reside with the family while in Aspen. The candidate should have a keen eye with proactive attitude towards keeping the home in pristine order.

Responsibilities:

  • All aspects of general housekeeping and deep cleaning of residences.
  • Ability to perform quality cleaning with proficiency in luxury furniture and surfaces.
  • Perform all aspects of laundry work: washing, laundering, steam-ironing and ironing.
  • Daily cleaning, care, and management of home.
  • Preparation of healthy, Kosher family-style meals.
  • Procuring household supplies; including grocery shopping and stock level management.
  • Running errands and carrying out special requests as needed.
  • Maintaining tidy and orderly closets throughout residences; providing assistance with packing and unpacking for travel.
  • Travel with the family to their secondary residence in Aspen.
  • Hours are flexible.  Meal frequency includes Friday night dinners and one or two more meals per week.

Salary based on experience ($62-72k) including benefits.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must be at least 21 years old.
Related work experience is required along with verifiable references. Candidates may have a broad range of experience, but it MUST pertain to the position you are applying for. We require at least 2-3 verifiable references. Letters of recommendation from previous employers are preferred.
A driver’s license is required for most positions and a motor vehicle investigation is completed prior to placement.
A criminal background investigation is completed on all candidates prior to placement.
All candidates must furnish proof of US citizenship or eligibility to work as a legal alien.
Typically, candidates must be willing to commit for at least 1 year with a family. Occasionally, temporary and summer placements are requested.
