A family residing in Pacific Palisades (and moving to Brentwood, CA in December) is seeking an Early Morning Nanny. The family includes two lively and inquisitive boys, aged 4 and 3, and they are currently in need of a dedicated individual to provide care, support, and early morning education.

Position Overview:

The family is in search of a responsible and experienced Early Morning Nanny/Tutor who can immediately join their household. This role involves ensuring the safety and well-being of the children, assisting with morning routines, and conducting short educational sessions.

Morning Routine:

The Nanny/Tutor will commence their shift at 5:00 AM when both parents leave for their morning workouts.

  • Monitor the children while they sleep until they wake up around 7:00 AM.
  • Assist the children in getting dressed for the day.
  • Heat up and serve prepared breakfast for the kids.

Educational Sessions (Optional)

  • If the candidate possesses tutoring experience, they will conduct 30-minute lesson sessions with each child, starting at 7:15 AM and concluding at 8:15 AM.
  • While one child is engaged in their lesson, a parent or guardian will be present to supervise the other child.

Transportation:

  • Ensure the children are ready for school by 8:30 AM to 8:45 AM.
  • Safely drive the children to school and drop them off by 9:00 AM.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience working with young children, and ideally, a background in tutoring or education.
  • Possession of reliable transportation for transporting the children to school.
  • Punctuality and a commitment to the early morning schedule.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred but not mandatory.

Ideal Candidate:

This position may be particularly suited for a retired teacher or an individual who is an early riser and derives satisfaction from working with children during their formative years.

Compensation:

The hourly rate for this position is $40.00 per hour, with a commitment of 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must be at least 21 years old.
Related work experience is required along with verifiable references. Candidates may have a broad range of experience, but it MUST pertain to the position you are applying for. We require at least 2-3 verifiable references. Letters of recommendation from previous employers are preferred.
A driver’s license is required for most positions and a motor vehicle investigation is completed prior to placement.
A criminal background investigation is completed on all candidates prior to placement.
All candidates must furnish proof of US citizenship or eligibility to work as a legal alien.
Typically, candidates must be willing to commit for at least 1 year with a family. Occasionally, temporary and summer placements are requested.
